You’ve listed a property. Here’s a simple way to contact nearby homeowners.

Instead of building a list, cleaning spreadsheets and setting up a mail merge, you can start with the listing address and manage the homeowner list, letter and delivery in one place.

How it works

1YOUR LISTING ADDRESS

Start with your listing address

Enter the address of your listing. We use it as the starting point for finding nearby homeowners you may want to contact.

2THE HOMEOWNERS

Choose the homeowners you want to reach

We start with verified owner-occupied homes near your listing. You can change the area and narrow the list by property type, value range, build era and title. The number of available homes updates as you make changes, so you can see how many homeowners are included before placing your order.

3YOUR LETTER

Prepare your letter

Use one of our templates, upload your own letter, or send us a short brief. We can help prepare the letter and send it to you for review. You can change anything you like, and nothing is printed until you approve it. Every letter is addressed to the homeowner and sent under your name and agency details.

4PRINTING AND DELIVERY

We take care of printing and delivery

Once your letter is approved and payment is completed, we print, address and deliver the letters. You can follow the order through printing and delivery from your account. Auckland deliveries are normally completed within three working days, subject to conditions such as severe weather.

Homeowner data

How we prepare the homeowner list

The homeowner list is prepared specifically for prospecting letters. Before the list is made available, we remove records that are unlikely to be useful for this type of prospecting.

  • Rental and investor-owned properties
  • Properties already on the market
  • Trusts and records where ownership is unclear
  • Addresses that cannot be verified for delivery
  • Homeowners who have previously opted out

This means the list may be smaller than a general property database, but it is more relevant for sending homeowner letters.

Questions

Common questions.

Letters and delivery

Do you still deliver to homes with a “No Junk Mail” or “No Circulars” sign?
Yes. Your letters are addressed to the homeowner by name, so they are delivered like any other letter. Those signs apply to unaddressed material such as circulars, which is a separate delivery stream and not what we send.
How long does delivery take?
Letters are normally delivered within three working days after payment and letter approval. Severe weather or other delivery disruptions can occasionally add a little extra time. You can follow the order through printing and delivery from your account, and see a sample of the homeowners who received it.
Can I review the letter before it is printed?
Yes. We send the letter to you for review first. You can edit any part of it or replace it with your own version. Nothing is printed until you approve it.
Whose name does the letter go out under?
Yours. Every letter carries your name and your agency details and ends with your sign-off. We add your agent identification and the opt-out line for you, so the letter meets the requirements without you having to think about it.
Can I use my own letter or design?
Yes. You can use one of our templates, ask us to help prepare a letter, or provide your own PDF, Word document or Google Doc. We format, print and deliver it, and add the agent identification and opt-out line for you.

Who receives it

Who receives my letter?
We focus on verified owner-occupied homes. Rental and investor-owned properties, properties already on the market, unclear ownership records and homeowners who have opted out are removed. Remaining addresses are checked against NZ Post delivery data.
Can I choose the area?
Yes. Start with your listing address and choose the area around it, from nearby streets through to the wider suburb. The available homeowner count updates as you change the area.
What happens if a home sells or is listed after I pay?
We check every address again just before printing. If a home has sold or been listed in the meantime we leave it out, and credit those letters back to your account for your next order.
Could another agent write to the same homes in the same week?
No. Once a home has received a letter it goes on a 30 day cooldown across the whole service, so that address cannot be selected again until the cooldown clears. It keeps your letters from arriving beside a duplicate.

Cost and access

What does it cost?
There is no subscription or seat fee. You pay per letter, and the rate reduces for larger orders. The total cost is shown before you place the order.
Is there a minimum order?
The minimum is 30 letters. There is no dollar minimum, so a single street is a normal order.
Is my suburb available?
We are currently opening the service across Auckland suburb by suburb. If your area is not available yet, contact us and we can let you know when it becomes available.
Do I need payment details to look around?
No. HouseInfo is available to licensed real estate agents. Once you have access you can search your area, see the available homeowner count and check the cost before any payment details are needed.

Data and privacy

Where does the homeowner data come from?
We start from the property data the industry already uses, then prepare it specifically for prospecting letters. That is why the count is lower than a general property database, and why more of the letters reach a homeowner. Learn more about our data.
Can a homeowner opt out?
Yes. Every letter carries an opt-out line pointing to unsubscribe-io.web.app. When someone opts out we add them to a suppression list that applies across the whole service, so they will not receive another letter through HouseInfo from any agent.
